Wir sind beim Vorlesetag am 23.März dabei!

We are participating in the reading day on March 23rd!

Dear Readers,
On March 23, the time has come again - the Austrian Reading Aloud Day is just around the corner! On this day, reading aloud is brought into focus throughout Austria and the enthusiasm for books and stories is celebrated. We at Verlag Ritzberger would also like to participate in this special day and cordially invite you to join our event. Our publishing house founder and co-author Wolfgang Ritzberger will read parts of our latest book "Franziska - Korea's First First Lady" at 12pm, 3pm and 6pm.
Author Soonae Lee-Fink will share with us one of the most touching love stories of the 20th century - the life of Austrian Franziska Donner-Rhee, the first "First Lady" of Korea. Franziska Donner, daughter of a soda water manufacturer from Inzersdorf, met and fell in love with the Korean exile politician Syngman Rhee in Geneva in the winter of 1933. When Syngman Rhee becomes the first democratically elected president of Korea after 36 years of occupation by Japan, his wife Franziska becomes the first First Lady of Korea.
In our book you will find out whether this love could stand against the almost insurmountable cultural hurdles, the political interests, the seemingly huge distance between Austria and Korea at that time and the considerable age difference. We are proud to be a part of the read-aloud community on this special day and hope that you will join us in immersing yourselves in the fascinating story of

Franziska Donner-Rhee.

Join us and be enchanted by Wolfgang Ritzberger's readings! At 12pm you can follow the online event, while at 3pm and 6pm you can join us both online and on-site at Linke Bahngasse 7 in Vienna 1030.

The Austrian Read Aloud Day is a great opportunity to share the joy of reading and reading aloud. Let's discover and celebrate a world of stories and adventures together! We look forward to seeing you and having a great time reading together!
