About the authors of "Franziska" first "First Lady of Korea"

The Authors

The author, Mag. Soonae Lee-Fink, was born in Seoul in 1955. As an athlete, she won gold in the sprint at the Asian Athletics Championships in 1974, then studied first at the Ewha Women's University in Seoul and then sports science at the University of Frankfurt. During a study stay in Malaga she met her future husband, the lawyer Univ. Dr. Herbert Fink.

Ms. Lee-Fink still lives in Innsbruck, where she worked as a tourist guide for a long time. She has been dealing with the life of Franziska Donner-Rhee for more than 30 years.

The co-author, Wolfgang Ritzberger MA, and his wife, Elisabeth Uhl, came across the life story of Franziska Donner, which is still largely unknown in Austria, together with his wife, Elisabeth Uhl, and thus got to know Soonae Lee-Fink. Together with her he created the literary revision of the German version of the book.

Wolfgang Ritzberger worked for the ORF for almost 20 years, most recently as deputy program manager at ZIB 2 (1996) and then founded his own film production company. Among other things, he produced one of the most successful Austrian feature films of recent years, “The Best of All Worlds”. By the way, he was also a competitive athlete, as a saber fencer he belonged to the Austrian World Cup and national team.
